The summer of 2025 will have some exciting events including
- The Longest Day club games which benefits the Alzheimer’s Association (June 15-22)
- Pittsburgh Sectional (July 18-20)
- Pittsburgh Regional at the Meadowlands (August 26-30).
Our Unit’s education program has grown rapidly and now has over 125 students in beginner classes. The challenge we are presented is to transition these players into our club and special unit games. We need all unit 142 players to help welcome these new participants. Some of our local clubs will be starting special limited games including 99er...199er and NLM sections. The Sectional and Regional will have events for newer players. Lets all be friendly so all our games may grow.

Classes currently ongoing in Mt. Lebanon, Monroeville, Treesdale and the North Hills. Supervised play ongoing in Mt. Lebanon, Glenshaw, and now Sewickley.
Many thanks to Lorraine Hanna, Todd Hertzberg, Linda Fried, Ernie Retetagos, Rosanne Patterson, Pat Anders, Carol Bolen, Terri Tunick, Marilyn Sittig, Pat Cavalier, Phyllis Geinzer, John Doyal, Ken Stiger, Maddy Frizzi, Barb Logan, Ildiko Baxter, Barb Belardi, Ron Franck and Chris Rasmussen for hopping on board - and helping in our efforts to keep Bridge alive in the area.
How ‘bout YOU?
The evening class in Monroeville has been very well received. We plan to get evening classes going in Sewickley, and would very much like an evening class at Rodef – I suspect there is unmet demand there. Anyone interested in getting involved? You, too, could get your name in the Newsletter. Wow!
Anyway… we can’t be everywhere. Perhaps you can. Or, together perhaps we can.
And to all the players out there, if and when some of these students come to your game, and your table, treat ‘em nicely.
