Greensburg Mentoring Program - Starts Anew! Thursday October 5th @ 11 AM |
![]() |
We had a program last spring that was very successful, and has been requested to start up again.
We have premade boards that include details of proper bidding, play etc. that the mentor reads after he has reviewed the hand completely with the four players at his table. Of course we have very bright mentors and the details that are on the enclosed paper agree, so many aspects of the game come up on each of the boards, and all the players love it.
We had between 12 and 20 players arrive each week at 11:00, which is 45 minutes before we have a complete lunch ready. The players master point holdings range from 0 to over 1,000. The approach is that we encourage the players at each table to bid, defend, and play the way they feel is correct. Then all hands are placed face up and the players are encouraged to discuss the bidding, play, leads, defense, etc. Then the mentor shows what would be a better line, they are thinking for themselves, and are retaining more.
There isn't any cost, we just want the people to improve their game, which then starts at 12:30.
