What do you bid?

Ernie Retetagos: 2NT Partner figures to have a singleton heart and a 5 card black suit. If it is spades they will transfer, and if it's clubs East may not find a club shift. Also, partner doesn't have to have a yarborough.

Bill Holt Pass.  +200 will beat any part score we can make and any game I cannot bid.  Partner is broke & doesn't have Spades.  I could bid 2NT or 3d or even try 3NT but I will be end-played out of my hand the whole time.  On defense, I have 2+ Spades, 2 Hearts, 2-3 Diamonds and a way to tap declarer in diamonds - if declarer loses control of the hand I will make my small diamonds.

Gail Carns: Pass Partner has a lot of clubs and didn't bid so they have no points. 2H could go down 200

Jim Bachelder: Double: I'll venture a 2nd double, intending to correct 3C to 3D. Who knows, partner might have: KXXXX, X, XXX, XXXX

Jim Bossert 3d (Jim is a man of few words)

Asim Ulke Double: It looks like I can count on 6 tricks on defese. I partner has any cards in clubs we might even get + 200. However, it is not in my nature to pass 19 points. Easts 3rd seat opener may be light and we may have a game in NT. I risk a second double. If partner bids 2NT (Lebensol), I bid 3D. Over 3C, I bid 3NT. Over 2S, I am still thinking

Florine Walters:  3D : Three Diamonds, and hope the opponents bid three Hearts so that I can double for penalties.

Bruce Keidan 3D Maybe I'm missing something here. 3D seems automatic. Anything else suggests cutting back on your medications.

Trudy Cohn: I will bid 2NT which at least shows the appropriate point count if not the correct distribution. I feel that I am between a rock and hard place and can only describe the hand to the best of my ability.

Roni Gitchel Atkins: 3D - I would like to make a penalty double, but double is not for penalty.  Partner has at most 1H and should have club support.

Arlene Port : Pass 3D looks promising, but I am afraid I won’t get as rich on +110 as I will on +200.

Herb Sachs: 2NT. I hope my partner does not have 4-1-2-6 with no face cards. If he bids three clubs, I have to bid three diamonds. I don’t think I should sell out. It doesn’t sound as if responder has a big hand and if openers was marginal, partner stands to have some points.

PJ Prabhu :3NT. What I think I can make. If Pd has DJ and QJx of C, I have a very good shot at 3NT. On a good day, even less would do

Lou Joseph: Pass. What am I  missing, an invitation to go minus 200? How many points are there in this deck? Even if opener is light, what's left for partner?
