Free Play Program for Bridge Class Graduates
|
 |
Attention: Teachers and Club Directors!
Unit 142 is instituting a program to allow individuals graduating from Beginning
& Re-Entry Bridge Classes one free play at any club
in the unit. Let's get these folks off to a good start!
To qualify for the
Free Play Certificates, the class must be a Beginning or Brush-Up Bridge Class -
in other words designed for the not-current player. The existence of the class must have been disclosed to us before it started (so
we can advertise it on our website), and the graduate's name, phone
number, and email address must be supplied to us at the end of the class.
There are two
contact points: The Webmaster for initial setup and the Program
Coordinator for roster recording and reimbursement. Please forward questions
to the Program Coordinator.
Webmaster
(Email Bill Holt)
Program
Coordinator (Email Mary Carns)

Instructions
Teachers:
-
Notify the Webmaster (that's me) of your class as soon as it gets scheduled.
This way you will receive exposure via the website.
-
Notify the Webmaster of your class roster size once classes start. Please
allow 3 weeks for delivery of your Free Play Certificates.
-
Distribute the Free Play Certificates at the end of the class.
These will have a slot for a number which is Teacher-specific, I.E. 'Smith
0018' for teacher Smith's student #18. Fill in the number on the
Certificate. Fill in the Students name - in ink. You may leave the
address and phone information blank if you choose.
-
You will issue and record these numbers, and submit them to the Program
Coordinator.
Certificates won't be honored unless Mary Carns has received this
information.
-
Your student will now be able to play in any 'Standard Game' in the Unit for
free with the use of this Certificate. This won't cover the surcharge for 'STaC'
or other Special Games.
Directors:
-
When a Free
Play Certificate is presented to you at your game, accept it as
payment-in-full for one standard entry.
-
Periodically,
but no more than once per month, submit a reimbursement request to the
program coordinator.
-
You need to supply the Certificate #,
Name, Phone Number, and Email address - which is information that
should be filled in on the Certificate.
-
Within a
reasonable period of time, you will receive reimbursement.
We hope that this program will create a link between our ongoing Education
efforts and attendence at local clubs. Feel free to contact us with your
questions, concerns, or thoughts.
Good bridging to all!
